As the Lead Partner at Jones Leadership Academy and Pickett Academy, the Art Tatum Zone proudly serves as the driving force behind the Schools as Community Hubs model, bringing together education, family support, and community resources to ensure every child has what they need to thrive.

A School as a Community Hub is more than a place for academics—it’s a center for opportunity, wellness, and connection. It’s a school that opens its doors to the entire neighborhood, becoming a trusted resource where families can access support, services, and programs all under one roof.
Through strong partnerships with local organizations, community members, and school staff, Community Hubs help address the whole child’s needs—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically—while strengthening the surrounding neighborhood.
